UPDATED NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Shareholders are referred to the Annual Financial Statements,
Integrated Report, Notice of Annual General Meeting and
Change Statement announcement that was released on SENS on 3
April 2017, and are advised that the Notice of Annual General
Meeting have been updated following amendments to the maximum
number of shares which may be allocated under the proposed
long-term incentive share plan(“LTIP”)and the maximum
number of shares which may be allocated to an individual in
terms of the LTIP. The LTIP will be tabled for shareholder
approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting. The
amendments only affects Annexure A to the Notice of Annual
General Meeting which contains the salient features of the
LTIP.
The updated Notice of Annual General Meeting was distributed
to shareholders today, 26 April 2017, and is available on the
company’s website hosted at www.basilread.co.za, as well as
for inspection at the company’s registered office.
Annual General Meeting
The dates given in the Notice of Annual General Meeting of
Basil Read shareholders, given in the SENS announcement
released on 3 April 2017, remains unchanged and it will still
be held at 10h00 on Friday, 2 June 2017 at the Basil Read
Campus, 7 Romeo Street, Hughes Extension, Boksburg to
transact the business as set out in the notice of Annual
General Meeting.
The record date for determining which shareholders of the
company are entitled to participate in and vote at the Annual
General Meeting is Friday, 26 May 2017. Accordingly, the last
day to trade in Basil Read shares to be recorded in the
register to be entitled to vote will be Tuesday, 23 May 2017.
