STEINHOFF – REFINANCING BY STEINHOFF AFRICA RETAIL LIMITED COMPLETED
Steinhoff International Holdings N.V. (the “Company” and with its subsidiaries, the “Group”)
Shareholders are referred to the announcement published by Steinhoff Africa Retail Limited
(“STAR”) earlier today, in which STAR announced that it has successfully completed the refinancing
of Group’s shareholder funding amounting to c.ZAR16 billion (“the Refinancing”). The Refinancing
facilitated the repayment of the Group’s African debt. Accordingly, the Group has successfully
repaid approximately €2 billion of African debt since January 2018. Save for working capital
facilities of the automotive business and the African properties division, the Group has no remaining
African debt.
