2008) AND PARAGRAPH 3.83(b) OF THE JSE LIMITED LISTINGS REQUIREMENTS -
DISPOSAL OF SECURITIES

Shareholders are advised that the Company has received formal notification in the prescribed
form that the clients of The Capital Group Companies Inc (“Capital Group Companies clients”)
have, in aggregate, disposed of a beneficial interest in the ordinary share capital of Capitec,
such that the total beneficial interest in the ordinary share capital of the Company held by
Capital Group Companies clients now amounts to 4.9980% of the total issued ordinary share
capital of Capitec.
