CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Shareholders are advised that Ian Russell has been appointed as an independent non-executive director of the
company, with effect from 1 October 2018. He was also appointed as a member of the audit and risk
committee as well as a member and chairman of the remuneration committee and as a member of the
nomination committee.

Ian is currently the chief executive officer of Disrupting Consultancy Proprietary Limited. He was
previously chief executive officer of BCX Proprietary Limited and held various senior positions at Telkom
SA Limited, South African Breweries Proprietary Limited and Barclays Bank Plc.

He is an experience executive, specialising in complex turnaround and company restructuring initiatives
across multiple industries, including in the technology, telecommunications, FMCG and financial services
sectors.

Ian holds a BSc (Economics) from the University College of Swansea as well as an MBA from the
University of Birmingham.

The board of directors of Ellies welcomes Ian and looks forward to his contribution to the company.
