Resignation of Chairman

Shareholders of Accelerate are advised that Mr Tito Mboweni has resigned as an independent
non-executive director and chairman of the board of directors of Accelerate (“Board”) [with
effect from 11 October 2018 following his appointment as Finance Minister of South Africa.

Mr Mboweni was also Chairman of the Nominations Committee and a member of the
Remuneration Committee and Investment Committee. Dr Gert Cruywagen, the lead
independent director of the Board, has been appointed as temporary Chairman of the Board
until such time as a suitable replacement has been identified. Dr Cruywagen has also been
appointed as a member and Chairman of the Nominations Committee and a member of the
Remuneration Committee.

The board of directors expresses its thanks to Mr Mboweni for his leadership and wise counsel
during his tenure as Chairman of the board since June 2013.
