CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, York shareholders are
advised that Mr Paul Botha has resigned as a non-executive director of York, with immediate effect.

The board of directors of York would like to thank Mr Botha for his valuable service and contribution to
the Company during his tenure. As one of the longest serving board members, Mr Botha acted in the
best interest of all stakeholders and had a balanced approach to solving problems.
