Mr Kaplan has served as Chairman of the Company since 2005. The board wishes to thank him for his invaluable service over the years. During this time, he has provided important guidance and strategic direction, particularly in the area of corporate governance and financial reporting. He has also been an important sounding board and mentor to the executive management team which role he will continue to fulfil on an informal basis. Trematon has recently appointed two additional non-executive directors to the board, Messrs Lockhart-Ross and Getz who will fill the positions previously held by Mr Kaplan as follows: Mr Lochhart-Ross will serve on the Audit & Risk Committee, the Remuneration Committee and the Investment Committee; and Mr Getz will serve on the Remuneration Committee, the Investment Committee and the Social & Ethics Committee.
