CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

In accordance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements (“Listings
Requirements”), Afrox shareholders (“Shareholders”) are advised of the following changes to the
Afrox board of directors (“Board”):

1. Resignation of Chairman

Shareholders are advised of the resignation of Mr Bernd Eulitz, with effect from 1 April 2019. Mr Eulitz,
a member of Linde Group AG (“Linde Group”) board of directors and head of Linde Group’s
operating segment Europe, Middle East and Africa, has served two terms as Chairman of the Board
with his second appointment from 1 September 2017. Post the Linde Praxair Merger, Mr Eulitz will be
assuming a new role as Executive Vice President Americas, Linde PLC.

2. Appointment of Chairman

Shareholders are further advised that, following the resignation of Mr Eulitz, Mr John Panikar has been
appointed as a member of the Board and will assume the role of Chairman of the Board and member
of the Nominations, Governance and Management of Resources Committee, with effect from 1 April
2019.

As a result of the Linde Praxair Merger, Mr Panikar has assumed the position of President Region UK,
Ireland and South Africa, Linde PLC. As a result of the position held at Linde PLC, he will not be
considered an independent Chairman. Accordingly, Dr Khotso Mokhele will remain as the lead
independent director in terms of the Listings Requirements and the King IV Report on Corporate
Governance for South Africa, 2016.

Mr Panikar was previously the President of Praxair Asia and brings to the Board extensive international
experience and expertise in gases. He joined Praxair in 1991 and has held various senior positions
including, inter alia, Director of Business Development (India), Managing Director (India), Vice President
(North America Industrial Gases business unit), Vice President (United States, South Region), and
President of Praxair Distribution Inc. As the current President of Praxair Asia, he is responsible for the
growth and profitability of Praxair’s industrial gases operations in China, India, South Korea, Taiwan,
Thailand and the Middle East. He holds a chemical engineering degree from the University of Rochester
(New York) and completed the Advanced Management program at Harvard Business School in 2010.

The Board would like to express its gratitude to Mr Eulitz for his valuable contribution to the Company
during his tenure and welcomes Mr Panikar as the new Chairman of the Board.
