CHANGES TO THE BOARD: ARC INVESTMENTS ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT
NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Shareholders are advised that Mr Anil Currimjee has been appointed as independent non-executive
director to AIL's board with effect from 11 March 2019. He will become the third Mauritian resident
board member of the Company.
Mr Currimjee has had executive experience in the Currimjee group of companies for a period that
spanned 36 years and he still continues to lead the group as the Managing Director. The group is one
of the largest diversified commercial business groups in Mauritius with broad investments in India.
Established in 1890, the group focuses on a wide range of activities organised into sectors in
telecommunications, real estate, hospitality, energy and financial services.
In addition to his directorships within the Currimjee group of companies, Mr Currimjee further holds
non-executive directorships in Building and Civil Engineering Co. Ltd and Sanlam Africa Core Real
Estate Fund.
He is currently the chairman of the Joint Business Council Mauritius and India since 2004, and
furthermore was chairman of the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce in 2003. Between 2004 to 2016,
Mr Currimjee was the Honorary Consul General of Japan in Mauritius.
Mr Currimjee is a graduate from Williams College USA with a degree in BA Liberal Arts and further
went on to complete his MBA with London Business School in 1988.
Mr Currimjee expressed his thanks for the appointment and opportunity to serve on the board and
looks forward to contributing to seeing the Company excel.
