CHANGES TO THE BOARD
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, SPAR shareholders are
hereby advised that Mr Lwazi Koyana has been appointed as an independent non-executive director
of SPAR’s board of directors (“Board”), with effect from 14 May 2019.
Lwazi is a qualified Chartered Accountant (South Africa) and holds a BCom Accounting degree from
the University of South Africa and a BCompt Honours degree with CTA from Walter Sisulu University.
He is currently the founder and managing director of Nations Capital Advisors (Pty) Limited and
serves on the boards of Mineworkers Investment Company (Pty) Limited, Vaxispex (Pty) Limited,
Steve Biko Academic Hospital, the South African Qualifications Authority and the Wholesale and
Retail Sector Education and Training Authority.
He previously served as a member of the board of directors of AFGRI Limited, SecureData Holdings
Limited and Red Cherry Media Holdings (Pty) Limited and was the managing director and an
investment analyst at Greenwich Asset Management Limited.
The Board looks forward to the value and input that Lwazi will bring to the Company.
