CHANGE TO THE BOARD

In accordance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the board of
directors of Ascendis Health (“the Board”) advises shareholders that the employment contract
of Mr Thomas Thomsen, an executive director and the Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) of
Ascendis Health, has been terminated with immediate effect.

Mr Andrew Marshall, the Board’s current chairman, will be acting as CEO until the Board has
appointed a suitable replacement for Mr Thomsen.

The Board would like to thank Thomas for his contribution to the Company and wishes him
well in his future endeavours.
