ANNOUNCEMENT ON PL GROUP MEDIA COVERAGE

Shareholders are notified that Carte Blanche initiated contact and requested an on-
camera review with the CEO to answer a list of queries substantially directed at historic
events that have either been attended to; or are in the process of being attended to.
From information received it appears that these queries are fraught with factual errors and
the PL Group BOD resolved that, in order to preserve the group’s business reputation, the
relationship of trust with investors, the public at large, the learners and parents of PLG
Schools (Pty) Limited and the PLG Group as a whole; the list of queries will be addressed
by way of a formal written reply and that Carte Blanche’s request for an on-camera
interview be declined.

Shareholders are reassured that the PL Group continues to:
• provide affordable private schooling and currently averages between 15 and 20 pupils
  per class;
• be proud of the level of quality PLG schools has delivered;
• provide affordable private education that puts the interest of children’s learning first;
• be, and has always been, transparent about its business and financial dealings,
  including the difficulties experienced towards the end of 2017 and through 2018, in its
  reported financial statements and SENS announcements;
• be compliant with the required standards of education as governed by the
  Department of Education; and
• bridge the financial gap between government school fees and the elite Independent
  School fees, bringing the benefits of independent school learning to many more young
  minds.

Carte Blanche has been in direct contact with; and have attempted to intimidate or
badger; various executive and non-executive PL Group board members and staff, parents
and patrons of the PL Group into providing it with information regarding the group; despite
specific requests to Carte Blanche to refrain from the same.

In doing so Carte Blanche has made some serious unfounded allegations and statements
of and concerning the PL Group, which are wrongful and defamatory of the group in that
they impute, and were intended to impute, and were understood by the persons to which
these statements were communicated, to impute and to convey the innuendo that the
PL Group is an institution of questionable character and therefore not to be trusted to
deliver either its schooling – or retirement village services; in order to injure the PL Group’s
business reputation, which innuendo is wrongful and defamatory.

A formal written reply has been dispatched to Carte Blanche providing correct information
and the PL Group’s rights remain reserved.
