He is the vice-chairman and co-founder of the International Law Institute African Centre for Legal Excellence. Swithin currently serves as the chairman of the Barclays Bank of Uganda board, as well as a board member of the African Philanthropy Forum, and International Law Institute, in Washington, DC. He is also a member of the advisory boards of the Case Western Reserve University, Emerging and Frontier Markets Association, and The New Markets Lab.
