RESIGNATION OF DIRECTOR AND CHANGES TO DIRECTOR’S DESIGNATION AND
RESPONSIBILITIES

In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, shareholders are
advised of the following changes to the board of directors of ELB (“Board”) with effect from
17 December 2019.

The Board announces the resignation of Dr Stephen Meijers as executive director of ELB and as CEO
of ELB Engineering Services. The Board thanks Dr Meijers for his years of service to the Company.

The Board further announces that non-executive director, Dr John Herselman, will be appointed as an
executive director and take over as interim CEO of ELB Engineering Services. Dr Herselman was
appointed to the Board in 1983 and has extensive experience within the Group. The Board welcomes
Dr Herselman in an executive capacity and looks forward to his ongoing contribution to the Company.
