APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR


The Board of directors of TeleMasters is pleased to announce the appointment of
Dr David John Bate as an Independent Non-Executive Director of TeleMasters with effect
from 17 January 2020.

Dr Bate has over 25 years of experience making an impact as an investment banker,
entrepreneur and educator and is the founder of an investment banking firm with over USD
200 billion of transactions or investments across M&A, privatisations, PPP’s, debt finance
and private equity in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. He has a passion for identifying and
growing business investments on a sustainable and profitable basis and has significant
experience with business development, strategy, partnerships, corporate governance, the
mentoring multi-disciplinary teams and building businesses, projects and teams from the
ground up across all cycles (start-up, growth, turn around, maturity and exit).

Dr Bate is the Chief Executive Officer of Brookwood Capital Corporation and the Non-
Executive Chairman of ABNER Technology Group Limited, Velocia Investment Management
Company SA, Mushroom Farm Park Conservation Association NPC, United Nations of Wine
Incorporated and Leopard Frog Vineyards Proprietary Limited. He currently serves as
Warden, High Commission of Canada to South Africa and as a member of the Chancellor’s
Circle for the University of Victoria.
