Extension of Interim Stability Agreement Period

Shareholders are referred to the announcement released by Ascendis Health on the Stock Exchange News
Service of the JSE on 11 March 2020 wherein shareholders were advised that the group’s Lender
Consortium agreed to further extend an Interim Stability Agreement (“ISA”) to 15 May 2020 in order to seek
a more permanent structure of its existing debt facilities through its Lender Consortium.

As part of the group’s intention to focus on its core operations, address its capital structure and materially
deleverage its business, it is pursuing a number of divestment options. The process of negotiating re-
financing terms with the Lender Consortium is in the final stages of being concluded, which also involves
obtaining certain regulatory approvals. The Lender Consortium has therefore agreed to extend the ISA
period to 5 June 2020.
