APPOINTMENT OF THE ACTING CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

In terms of paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Listings Requirements, shareholders are advised that, pending the
finalisation of the appointment of the Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”), Laren Farquharson has been
appointed to the Hulamin board of directors (“Board”) as an executive director and as the acting CFO with
effect from 1 November 2020.

Laren is a qualified chartered accountant and has been with the Company for over 15 years. His previous
roles in the Company include Head of Finance for Rolled Products, General Manager of Corporate Finance
and Strategic Risk, Group Financial Manager and Group Treasury Manager. He is a member of the Rolled
Products Executive Committee and is responsible for the financial function and reporting of the largest
division of the Hulamin Group. Laren was also responsible for raising the Group’s debt finance and for
designing the Group’s hedging strategy for currency and commodity price risk.

The Board welcomes Laren in his new role and is satisfied that he has the appropriate competence,
experience and skills to fulfil this role.

The process of appointing a permanent CFO continues and shareholders will be advised accordingly.
