Sam, who was due to retire by rotation at the annual general meeting, will accordingly not offer himself up for re-election. Sam has been an independent non-executive director of the Board for over twenty three years, during which time he served in various capacities, including as chairman of the Audit Committee, as a member of the Nomination Committee and as an invitee to the Risk Committee.
