INITIAL TRADING STATEMENT

In terms of paragraph 3.4(b)(i) of the JSE Limited’s Listings Requirements, companies are required t o
publish a trading statement as soon as they are reasonably certain that the f inancial results f or the
current reporting period will dif f er by at least 20% when compared to the previous corresponding
period.

In terms of paragraph 3.4(b)(iii)(3) of the JSE Limited’s Listings Requirements, Mustek has a
reasonable degree of certainty that f or the year ended 30 June 2021, headline earnings per share
and basic earnings per share will be at least 190% higher than that reported in the previous f inancial
year, but does not yet have a reasonable degree of certainty of the specif ic percentage or range
dif f erence.

Accordingly, the Group expects that:
• Basic earnings per share will be at least 359,75 cents (190% higher than the 124,05 cents reported
in the previous f inancial year); and
• Headline earnings per share will be at least 368,68 cents (190% higher than the 127,13 cents
reported in the previous f inancial year).

A f urther trading statement that will include the expected date of release of its f inancial results will be
published once the company obtains reasonable certainty to provide guidance on the percentages
and ranges to describe the dif ferences.

The above inf ormation has not been reviewed or reported on by the company’s external auditors.
