Andrew will assume the position of CFO immediately and joins the Board as an Executive Director. The responsibilities that Andrew held in his previous position as Chief Operating Officer (“COO”) will be absorbed into his CFO role. The Board considers it appropriate that, as part of the managed handover period and controlled transition of responsibilities announced previously, Keith Richardson will step down as Executive Director with immediate effect. Andrew joined Bytes as COO on 1 June 2021 f rom JSE-listed technology company, Altron Limited, Bytes’ former parent company, f rom which it demerged in 2020. Andrew has extensive financial and operational experience in the ICT sector, having spent more than 27 years at Altron, the last 15 years in various senior leadership roles. His most recent position was that of COO which he held for five years, including a period of eight months where he held both the COO and CFO roles simultaneously.
