TRADING STATEMENT

In terms of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements (“JSE Listings Requirements”), a listed
company is required to publish a trading statement as soon as it becomes reasonably certain
that the financial results for the next period to be reported on will differ by 20% or more from
the financial results for the previous corresponding period.

The Company hereby advises that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that for the year
ended 28 February 2023 (“Current Period”), that headline loss and loss per share will be
between 23.49 and 25.52 cents, representing an increase of between 16% and 26%
compared to the headline loss per share of 20.30 cents reported for the year ended 28
February 2022

The increase in headline loss and loss per share is mainly due to increased operating
costs.

The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed nor
reported on by the Company’s external auditors. The audited results for the Current Period are
expected to be published on or about Monday 31 July 2023.
