SUCCESSFUL DISPOSAL OF VACANT LAND BY PPC ZIMBABWE (PRIVATE) LIMITED

PPC is pleased to advise that the Company, through its 88% held subsidiary, PPC Zimbabwe (Private)
Limited (“PPCZ”), has disposed the Arlington Estate, a vacant immovable property situated in the District
of Harare, Zimbabwe, measuring approximately 418 hectares (the “Arlington Property”).

The Arlington property was disposed of for a gross cash consideration of US$27.0 million (the “Disposal
Consideration” and the “Disposal”), generating net proceeds of US$21.4 million after transaction-related
costs and applicable taxes.

Following the Disposal, PPCZ declared and paid a dividend of US$21.4 million. PPC’s 88% share of the
dividend, net of applicable taxes, amounted to US$17.9 million (approximately R296.4 million at the
prevailing US$/ZAR exchange rate).

The Arlington Property does not contain any limestone deposits and PPCZ has no commercial use for the
Arlington Property in its core cement producing business. Consequently, the Disposal is in the best interest
of the Group.

The purchaser of the Arlington Property is a privately held Zimbabwean company associated with property
holdings in Zimbabwe and is not a related party to PPC. The Disposal falls below the category 2 threshold
in terms of paragraph 8.4(a) of the JSE Listings Requirements. This announcement is therefore provided
for information purposes only.
