CHANGES TO THE AFROCENTRIC BOARD AND BOARD COMMITTEES
In compliance with paragraph 6.71 of the JSE Listings Requirements, and following the
recommendation of the Nomination Committee, the Board of Directors of AfroCentric
(the "Board") is pleased to announce to its shareholders, the appointment of Mr Trurman Michael
Zakhe Zuma ("Mr Zuma") as a Non-Executive Director of AfroCentric with effect from
17 September 2026.
Mr Zuma's appointment fills a vacancy on the Board as part of the Company's ongoing
succession planning initiatives and its continued commitment to enhancing the experience and
diversity of skills represented at Board level.
Mr Zuma holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting from
the University of Natal (Durban). He is a qualified Chartered Accountant (South Africa) and has
extensive experience across investment management, private equity, integrated financial
solutions, strategic client development, wealth management, financial services and corporate
leadership. Following the completion of his articles with KPMG, he further completed the
Programme for Management Development at Harvard Business School in 2004.
Over the course of his career, Mr Zuma has accumulated more than 11 years of board
experience in JSE-listed property companies and property investment funds and in March 2025,
Mr Zuma joined African Rainbow Capital as a Principal Transactor, a position he currently holds.
Given Mr Zuma's extensive experience and strong credentials, the Board has further approved
his appointment as a member of the Group Investment Committee with effect from 17 September
2026.
The Board confirms that, in compliance with the JSE Listings Requirements, a fit and proper
assessment has been conducted in respect of Mr Zuma and the Board is satisfied with the
outcome of the assessment. Additionally, in compliance with the JSE Listings Requirements, the
Company confirms that there are no positive statements to report in respect of the integrity
information contained in the director’s declaration of Mr Zuma.
The Board welcomes Mr Zuma and looks forward to the valuable contribution he will make to
AfroCentric's governance, strategic oversight and long-term value creation.
