PARTIAL DE-LISTING OF NEWWAVE USD EXCHANGE TRADED NOTES

Absa Bank Limited, acting through its Corporate and Investment Banking division has redeemed
10,000,000 NEWUSD Notes, and from commencement of business today the NEWUSD Notes will be
de-listed from the Exchange Traded Note sub-sector of the main board of the JSE Limited.

After the redemption and de-listing there will be 42,335,177 NEWUSD Notes in issue.
