SwingTrader ULTRA-S1 and ULTRA-S2

Sharenet Analytics offers two fantastic short-term trading systems specifically designed to trade the SharenetCFDs SATop40 futures CFD.

Overview:

SwingTrader ULTRA is a suite of two SA TOP40 Index mechanical trading strategies. They are called S1 and S2 in a tip-of-the-hat to the famous Richard Dennis and his 1970's "Turtle Traders" that used two systems by the same name to generate millions of dollars in profit.

The systems generate live BUY and SELL signals for customers via SMS and registered clients also have access to each systems' live trading status and historic performance.

The performance of the two systems since March 2009 with a R50,000 starting account are shown below as at 28 Sept 2016 (click for enlarged view):

How it works:

ULTRA uses standard SwingTrader-III "go long" signals to open long trades, but the following new features are incorporated:

  1. Two additional exit signals in addition to the standard SwingTrader-III exit signal. These exit signals provide superior returns whist reducing vested long-trade exposure from 70% to 50%, resulting in far superior risk-adjusted returns for the long trades.
  2. Shorting strategies initiated by the above exits with a maximum 2% underlying ungeared index risk per unit traded (half that of the long trades!). The shorting strategies have their own built-in exits (short covering rules) to allow them to avoid short-cover rallies.
  3. An overbought/oversold indicator to allow for pyramid trades (adding to positions) and opportunities to take profits off the table at high risk periods as well as identify high probability long trades.
  4. Position sizing rules to ensure equitable long and short trade risk metrics (4%) and to ensure only a fraction of trading capital is at risk at any time
  5. Four categories of long trades and 3 categories of short trades each with their own actuarial tables to allow the trader to asses risk and allow the system to size the appropriate number of contracts matched to the statistical confidence of the trade.

What's included:

  1. Live SMS and email alerts for all actionable signals.
  2. A free seat at a Sharenet Analytics seminar.
  3. A dedicated support line (email & telephonic service) to answer any questions you have.
  4. Free attendance to our bi-monthly webinars.
  5. Full in-depth operator's guides for both systems.
  6. Access to our ULTRA community forum (coming in January 2013).
  7. Coaching, analysis and communication from Sharenet Analytics focusing exclusively on ULTRA.
