Monthly interest update



Further to the monthly interest declaration and finalisation announcement dated 22 April 2022 (“Interest
Announcement”), holders of Notes issued by the Company in terms of its ZAR10,000,000,000 Domestic Medium Term
Note Programme are referred to the announcement released on SENS on 12 May 2022 (“Update, Event of Default,
Debt Restructuring, Capital Raise and Cautionary Announcement”) in which it was announced, inter alia, that
Afristrat will be unable to pay any interest or capital due and payable to holders of Notes with effect from the date of
the aforementioned announcement.

Accordingly, the interest will not be paid on Monday, 16 May 2022, as stated in the Interest Announcement.

Interest will however, continue to accrue in respect of the Notes up until the date of approval of the offer by Afristrat to
holders of the Notes to convert to ordinary shares in Afristrat, as detailed in the Update, Event of Default, Debt
Restructuring, Capital Raise and Cautionary Announcement.
