NOTICE OF AN ACQUISITION OF A BENEFICIAL INTEREST IN SPAR SECURITIES
In accordance with section 122(3)(b) of the Companies Act, No 71 of 2008, as amended (“Companies
Act”), and paragraph 6.54 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, SPAR shareholders are hereby
advised that the Company has received notification, in the prescribed form, from Peresec Prime Brokers
(Pty) Ltd (“Peresec”), advising that it has acquired a beneficial interest in ordinary shares of the
Company (the “Acquisition”).
Following the Acquisition, Peresec now holds 6.254% of the total issued ordinary share capital of the
Company, representing an increase from the 0.27% previously held.
The Company has filed the relevant notification with the Takeover Regulation Panel and the Companies
and Intellectual Property Commission, as required in terms of sections 122(3) and 122(3A) of the
Companies Act.
The board of directors of SPAR accepts responsibility for the information contained in this
