EXEMPTION AFFIDAVIT

No change statement

Shareholders are advised that the Company’s Integrated Report in respect of the year ended 30 June
2018 was posted to shareholders today and is available on the Company’s website
(www.aep.co.za/investor-relations/).

Neither the audited annual financial statements nor the audit report contain any modifications to the
provisional financial results for the year ended 30 June 2018, which were released on SENS on
28 September 2018.

Notice of the Annual General Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) of shareholders will be held at the
registered office of the Company, 2nd Floor, 28 Fricker Road, Illovo, Sandton, Johannesburg, AEP
Boardroom, on Wednesday, 5 December 2018 at 09:00. The salient dates relevant to the AGM are set
out below:

Notice of B-BBEE exemption affidavit

Shareholders are hereby notified that the Company qualifies for BEE compliance exemption by nature
of the fact that, owing to it being a SPAC, it has an annual turnover of less than the R10 million limit.
Accordingly, the Company is therefore not required to submit an annual compliance report in terms of
section 13G(2) of the B-BBEE Act. Shareholders are further notified that a BEE Exempted Micro
Enterprise Affidavit pursuant to the revised BEE Codes of Good Practice is available on the Company’s
website (www.aep.co.za/investor-relations/corporate-governance).
