Mr Mabunda started his career at Proctor & Gamble where he was employed as a Graduate Management Trainee within Sales and Customer Marketing function and later held the position of Key Accounts and Channel Manager. He built his career at Diageo PLC, where he held various positions in sales, marketing, strategy and general management. In September 2013, he was appointed Managing Director of Uganda Breweries Limited, where he delivered exceptional results for their business. He also represented Diageo PLC on the board of United National Breweries (SA) (Pty) Ltd, as non-executive director. Mr Mabunda was appointed as Chief Officer of Consumer Business Unit at Vodacom Group Limited on 1 September 2016, where he spent two and half years as a member of the group executive committee and an executive director of Vodacom South Africa. He is highly experienced in leading a diverse and complex environment, having worked across many African countries and the United Kingdom, and holds an MBA, a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management and a Bachelor of Social Science degree from the University of Cape Town.
