Shareholders are advised that Ms Brenda Kali, has subsequently been appointed as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect. Brenda is the CEO of Conscious Companies and the Founder of the Conscious Leadership Academy. Her twenty-five year tenure as an executive involved the reputational management of major companies including Sasol where she was Global Head of Communication and Public Affairs responsible for the Sasol Listing on the New York Stock Exchange in 2003. As Group Executive of Telkom, she spearheaded its reputational transformation from 2008 to 2011. She was CEO of the Children’s Media Council in the Office of the President where she worked closely with UNICEF and was largely responsible for the implementation of the Global Movement for Children in 2001. As part of the SABC’s transformation team from 1994 to 2000 she helped re-orient the national broadcaster to focus on diversity, social responsibility and community outreach. She was also on the Board of the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industries and is currently on the Board of Project Literacy, a 45 year old NGO.
