Withdrawal Of A Resolution Proposed For Adoption At The General Meeting Of The Company PURPLE GROUP LIMITED (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) (Registration number 1998/013637/06) Share code: PPE ISIN: ZAE000185526 ("Purple Group" or "the Company" or "the Group") WITHDRAWAL OF A RESOLUTION PROPOSED FOR ADOPTION AT THE GENERAL MEETING OF THE COMPANY Shareholders are referred to the Notice of General Meeting, incorporated into a circular, sent to shareholders on 1 March 2019 and in particular to Special Resolution 1 relating to the proposed change of name of Purple Group to Easy Investment Holdings Limited (“Change of Name”). On reflection, and after consultation with company stakeholders, coupled with the substantial costs related to supporting brand effects and amendments to all legal and regulatory materials, the Board of Directors has reconsidered its recommendation of the proposed Change of Name to shareholders. The Board of Directors have requested the management team to cease the proposed Change of Name. With an ever increasing project focus on pressing and value adding growth opportunities, the Board wishes to relieve the management time and costs implicit in the Name Change initiative. The Board of Directors will revisit this at the appropriate time. As a result, Special Resolution 1 is withdrawn from voting at the General Meeting of Shareholders of Purple Group Limited to be held on 04 April 2019 at 10h00. All other resolutions as set out in the Notice of General Meeting remain in place to be voted on.
