Trading Statement CURRO HOLDINGS LIMITED Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa (Registration number: 1998/025801/06) JSE Share Code: COH ISIN: ZAE000156253 (“Curro” or “the Company”) TRADING STATEMENT In terms of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, a listed company is required to publish a trading statement as soon as it becomes reasonably certain that the financial results for the next period to be reported on will differ by 20% or more from the financial results for the previous corresponding period. Accordingly, the Company hereby advises that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that for the six months ended 30 June 2020: - Recurring headline earnings per share (“RHEPS”) will be between 38.3 cents and 42.0 cents, representing an increase of between 3% and 13% compared to the RHEPS of 37.1 cents for the six months ended 30 June 2019; - Headline earnings per share (“HEPS”) will be between 36.0 cents and 41.0 cents, representing a decrease of between 18% and 28% compared to the HEPS of 50.0 cents for the six months ended 30 June 2019. The previous period HEPS included a non-recurring R53m tax reversal (a profit) and the current period includes a non-recurring R7m acquisition cost which results in the key difference between RHEPS and HEPS; and - Earnings per share (“EPS”) will be between 19.9 cents and 25.6 cents, representing a decrease of between 55% and 65% compared to the EPS of 56.9 cents for the six months ended 30 June 2019. The previous period EPS included a bargain purchase profit of R28m and the current period includes an impairment of R67m which results in the key difference between HEPS and EPS; The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or reported on by the auditor of the Company.
