Trading Statement Long4Life Limited Registration number 2016/216015/06 Share code: L4L ISIN: ZAE000243119 (“L4L” or “the group”) TRADING STATEMENT FOR THE SIX MONTHS ENDED 31 AUGUST 2020 In terms of Section 3.4(b)(i) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, the Board of Directors of L4L reports that the group's financial results for the six months ended 31 August 2020 (“the period”) will differ by more than 20% from those reported for the six months ended 31 August 2019 (“the prior comparable period). Basic earnings and headline earnings per share for the period are both expected to be within the range 0.1 cents and 1.5 cents per share a decrease of between 90% and 100%, compared to both the earnings and headline earnings of 14.5 cents per share reported in the prior comparable period. Profitability for the period was negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic which affected all three divisions in the group. Immediately after the lockdown was announced, swift and purposeful action was taken especially in relation to cash preservation.
