WITHDRAWAL AND RE-ISSUE OF TRADING STATEMENT FOR THE SIX MONTHS ENDED 31 AUGUST 2021

Shareholders are referred to the business and trading statement for the six months ended 31 August 2021
published on SENS yesterday, 09 September 2021.

The trading statement stated that consolidated earnings per share and earnings per share is expected to
increase by between 24 and 25 cents per share (2017: 17.33).

Shareholders should note that for clarification purposes:
• Consolidated earnings per share and headline earnings per share for the six-month period ended 31
   August 2021 are expected to increase by between 40% and 45% compared to the prior corresponding
   period.

This translates into an increase to between 24 and 25 cents per share (2020:17.33 cents).

The company regrets the error.

The financial information which this trading statement is based on has not been reviewed and reported
on by the Company’s external auditors.

It is expected that Balwin will release its results for the six-month period ended 31 August 2021 on or
about 20 October 2021.
