(Incorporated under the laws of the British Virgin Islands) (Company number: 1750790) JSE share code: OPA ISIN code: VGG2072E1016 ("Optasia" or "the Company" or "the Group") ANNOUNCEMENT RELATING TO: ' TRADING UPDATE; ' VOLUNTARY TRADING STATEMENT; AND
' PUBLICATION DATE OF THE FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2025
Optasia, a global leader in AI-powered fintech, is finalising its full year results for the twelve-month period ended 31 December 2025 ("FY25"). Optasia listed on the Main Board of the JSE on 4 November 2025.
The Company is pleased to report trading has remained strong through the second half of the year, with continued momentum across both airtime credit solutions and micro financing solutions, supporting significant year-on-year growth. Optasia expects to report FY25 performance in line with the growth ambitions outlined at listing compared with FY24 ' revenue growth of greater than 50%, adjusted EBITDA** growth of greater than 40% and normalised net income* growth of greater than 45%.
As part of the listing, the Company incurred one-off professional, legal and listing related costs. Optasia is therefore tracking normalised net income and normalised earnings per share ("EPS") to measure and benchmark the underlying performance of the business; both non-IFRS measures which exclude the IPO-related costs as well as IFRS 2 Senior Management Non-Cash Adjustments that are one-off in nature, as set out in the Company's Pre Listing Statement. Normalised EPS also excludes these costs.
In 2025, the Company undertook a share split of 1:25,000, resulting in the issued share capital increasing from 46,663 shares to 1,166,575,000 shares. The subsequent listing of the Group on the JSE resulted in a further issue of 68,486,843 shares, with 1,235,061,843 ordinary shares in issue as at 31 December 2025.
The Company intends to use the weighted average number of shares in issue as at 31 December 2025 to report its EPS, with the EPS for FY24 restated to reflect the share split.
Accordingly, Optasia expects the following ranges for FY25:
