TRADING STATEMENT

The Company is currently finalising its interim financial results for the six months ended 30 June 2021,
which are expected to be released on the Stock Exchange News Service of the JSE Limited (“JSE”) on
or about Monday, 30 August 2021.

In accordance with paragraph 3.4(b) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE, companies are required
to publish a trading statement as soon as they are reasonably certain that the financial results for the
current period will differ by at least 20% from those of the prior comparative period.

Accordingly, shareholders are advised that the Group expects to report basic earnings per share
(“EPS”) of between 74.7 cents and 80.7 cents, representing an increase of between 22% and 32%,
compared to the EPS of 61.0 cents reported for the six months ended 30 June 2020, largely driven by
the strong performance of the South African Fishing segment.

Basic headline earnings per share (“HEPS”) for the six months ended 30 June 2021 is expected to
increase between 14% and 23%, to between 69.3 cents and 74.9 cents, compared to the HEPS of 61.0
cents reported for the six months ended 30 June 2020.

The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed and reported
on by the Company’s external auditors.
