TRADING STATEMENT AND TRADING UPDATE


York is in the process of finalising its results for the
six months ended 31 December 2024 ("Current Period") for release on or about 31 March 2025.
In terms of paragraph 3.4(b) of the JSE Limited Listings
Requirements, companies are required to publish a trading
statement as soon as they are satisfied that a reasonable
degree of certainty exists that the financial results for the
period to be reported upon next will differ by at least 20%
from the financial results for the previous corresponding period.
York shareholders ("Shareholders") are advised that, for the Current Period, the Company expects to report:
- an increase in earnings per share ("EPS") to between
15.75 cents and 16.03 cents, compared to EPS of 5.64 cents
reported for the 6 months ended 31 December 2023 ("Previous Comparative Period"); and
- an increase in headline earnings per share ("HEPS") to
between 14.22 cents and 14.45 cents, compared to HEPS of
4.67 cents reported for the Previous Comparative Period. Furthermore, Shareholders are advised that:
- Core EPS (based on EPS attributable to ordinary
shareholders less the fair value adjustment to the
biological assets, net of tax) is expected to improve from
a loss per share of 10.06 cents to a loss per share of
between 0.07 cents and 0.12 cents, compared to the Previous Comparative Period.
- Earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation,
amortisation and fair value adjustments on biological
assets is expected to be between 914% and 919% higher than
the Previous Comparative Period amount of R8.3 million.
- Cash generated from operations is expected to be between
687% and 692% higher than the Previous Comparative
Period's cash used in operations of R7.8 million.
Shareholders are advised that the information included in
this announcement has not been reviewed or reported on by the
