ENGAGEMENT WITH SHAREHOLDERS ON THE COMPANY’S REMUNERATION POLICY AND IMPLEMENTATION REPORT


Shareholders are referred to the SENS announcement released on 1 December 2021 with regard to the results
of the annual general meeting of the company held on Thursday, 30 November 2021, in which the company
advised that insufficient shareholder support had been obtained for the non-binding advisory resolutions
relating to Fortress’ FY2021 remuneration implementation and FY2022 remuneration policy reports.

The company invited dissenting shareholders to submit their reasons for voting against these resolutions to
the interim chairperson of the Remuneration Committee, Robin Lockhart-Ross by 14 January 2022, and
undertook to host a video conference call during January 2022 for the purpose of receiving and addressing
shareholders’ feedback in regard to the company’s remuneration policies and practices.

Fortress hereby confirms that, to fulfil this commitment to shareholders, a video conference call will be held
at 10h30 on Monday, 24 January 2022. The video conference call will be held via Microsoft Teams and
shareholders wishing to participate in the call are requested to email the company secretary at
tamlyn@fortressfund.co.za by close of business on Thursday, 20 January 2022.

Shareholders who are unable to participate in the video conference call on Monday, 24 January 2022 are again
invited to submit their comments and concerns with regard to Fortress’ FY2021 remuneration implementation
and FY2022 remuneration policy reports to the interim chairperson of the Remuneration Committee to
tamlyn@fortressfund.co.za, so that their input can be raised and covered during the call.
